About

Hi, I'm Dan.
If you're here, maybe you're curious about meditation. Maybe you've tried it before and it didn't quite stick. Or maybe you're just looking for a little more peace in your day. Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you found your way to Stillness With Dan.
A few years ago, I was moving through a hard season of depression and went looking for relief. What I found in meditation turned out to be so much more than a way to feel better. It became a path back to myself: my own stillness, my own steadiness and a quieter sense of who I actually am underneath everything else. That discovery changed my life and it's why I now get to share it with others.
I'm a Certified davidji Meditation Teacher and I teach mindfulness and mantra meditation. But more than any technique, what I want you to know is this: meditation isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering and reconnecting with what's already inside you.
Here's what you won't find in my sessions: performance, pressure or a strict set of rules you have to follow perfectly. Sit up, lie down, shift around if you need to. There's no wrong way to get comfortable, no wrong way to meditate and there's no wrong way to be here. If a posture or a technique doesn't feel right for your body, we adjust. Showing up and coming back matters so much more than doing it "correctly." That's what actually builds a practice that lasts.
I'll be honest with you: I'm still early in my own teaching journey and I'm not going to pretend I have it all figured out. But I've discovered I have a gift for this and something about the way I show up seems to resonate with people. That said, I'm not for everyone, and that's genuinely okay. Meditation is personal and part of the practice is finding the teacher and the space that feel right for you.
What I care about most is building something bigger than any single session: a community. A place where you can walk in, see a familiar face and feel like you belong. Where stillness isn't something you have to earn. It's something you're invited into, just as you are.
Come as you are. Sit however feels good. Let's find some stillness together.
